As a 60 Hour Paramedic NREMT Refresher course as defined in the 2009 National EMS Education Standards, approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) F5 Course, the EMS 203 (F5) – Paramedic NREMT Refresher Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Course meets National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) requirements for NREMT recertification.
National Component Hours = 30 (Covered)
Local/State Component Hours = 15 (Covered under CAPCE)
Individual Component Hours = 15 (Covered under CAPCE)
This course will cover certification requirements for most providers renewing their NREMT, however, because of NCCP, individual hour requirement may vary. Some states require skills competency verification. Contact Your State EMS Office for further information.
If you are deficient in other hours, you may also enroll for any of our CE programs which cover all required areas for the national standard curriculum. The NREMT provides credit for our courses because we are a CAPCE Accredited Provider. Many states, such as California and Texas provide for recertification based upon CE hours. You can also check with your State EMS Authority for further information regarding acceptance and requirements.

I’m moving out of state or hold certification in a state other than the state I am moving into. How do I become certified to practice as an Paramedic where I am moving or to recertify my NREMT?
Each state has unique requirements for entry into their state as an initial Paramedic. Most states, however, will accept NREMT certification in order to initially become a Paramedic. Our EMS 206 (F5) – Paramedic Refresher (Virtual Instructor Led Training) Course is a NCCP compliant Paramedic NREMT Refresher Course. The NREMT provides credit for our course because we are a CAPCE Accredited Provider. You can also check with your State EMS Authority for further information regarding specific acceptance and requirements issues.
How long after passing the course will I receive proof of taking the Paramedic Refresher Course?
Your course validation certificate will be available immediately upon course completion. Therefore, as soon as you have completed and successfully passed the final examination, you will be issued your validation certificate.
How do I recertify my Paramedic Certification?
This 60 Hour Paramedic NREMT Refresher course is approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) F5 Course, the EMS 203 (F5) – Paramedic NREMT Refresher Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Course meets National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) requirements for NREMT recertification.

The certification will state the name of the student, training program name and number (as authorized by the state), the program director’s signature, and the following topic areas and hours:

Does your course include Skills Verification?
No, we do not offer Skills Competency Verification. This should be done through your agency or though an initial training program. Contact Your State EMS Office to find a list of training centers that can assist you with this requirement.
My State/County certification lapsed. Can I get it back?
Some states permit re-entry or certification after a lapse of certification based upon obtaining a certain number of CEs. The NREMT requires that you take a state approved Paramedic Refresher Course as well as pass the cognitive and psychomotor examinations. This program, by being approved through the state of California, EMS Authority to offer continuing education, qualifies as a state of California Paramedic Refresher program. As such, you can use this course in California to meet the requirements for the Paramedic Refresher portion, however, you will still be required to take the psychomotor exam and cognitive examination. You can check with your State EMS Authority for further information regarding acceptance and requirements.

How long is the Paramedic Refresher course?
The EMS 206 (F5) Paramedic Refresher Course is Virtual Instructor Led Training which is conducted per the schedule as shown by Clicking Here. The course is 60 Hours in length.
The score to pass and receive your validation certificate is 75%. You are permitted to take the exam a maximum of 3 times prior to being required to take the course all over again. If you must repeat the course, we can offer you a discounted rate. Ask your instructor for details.
Can you explain what is included in the course?
All classes include didactic, written and audiovisual materials to enhance learning. In addition, there is a written exam required by the state at the end of each course. Passing with a grade of 75% or better is required to obtain your validation certificate.
The cost to take the (F5) Paramedic Refresher (Virtual Instructor Led Training Course) is $355.00. In the event that you find a lower price, we can provide an additional 10% off the competitor’s price. This way you receive the lowest possible price for your recertification.
